Description American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an overnight weekend night shift position requiring ARRT registration (or registry eligibility) and advanced CT certification. Details
CT Scan department at an acute care hospital in Raleigh, NC Adult and pediatric patient population Procedures include CT scans, multi-planar reconstruction, 3D reconstruction, oral and IV contrast administration, and IV line establishment Uses PACS, IMPAX service tools, QC station, and Epic EMR 17-week contract with 36 hours per week 3x12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM Weekend availability required Every other holiday coverage required No on-call required
Requirements
ARRT registration required, or registry eligibility with a copy of diploma from an accredited Radiological Science program provided for consideration Advanced CT certification required Registry-eligible candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain annual registry status and continuing education requirements Current BLS (HCP level) required Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science required Experience with PACS, Epic EMR, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, IV contrast administration, and IV line establishment License required if applicable
Additional Information
Responsibilities include acquiring and analyzing CT diagnostic data, verifying patient identification, obtaining patient history, and ensuring patient safety Administers oral and IV contrast to adult and pediatric patients per protocol, including verifying contrast eligibility and checking appropriate lab values prior to injection Manages image transfer workflows including transmitting to QC, PACS, and Epic, verifying and segmenting images, and managing order accuracy to prevent duplicate billing Maintains a consistent scan workflow, produces quality diagnostic images, and reviews patient charts and reports for clinical correlation Precepts new employees and students First-time travelers are not explicitly addressed; contact your recruiter for details
