Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across all age demographics through a combination of standardized assessments and observational insights. Create customized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized therapy sessions focused on improving communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Engage with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and family members to develop unified care strategies. Educate patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond the clinical environment. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process. Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to ongoing professional growth through education and collaboration with colleagues. Education
Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices for treatment across all age groups, with a robust knowledge of both developmental and acquired communication disorders. Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Skill in adapting therapy modalities to fit varied cultural and linguistic profiles.
