Role Details
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups using both standardized instruments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet both immediate objectives and the overarching communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs of your patients. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focusing on varying aspects of communication, such as language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team comprising physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge cohesive treatment plans. Provide educational resources and support to patients and families to ensure progress continues beyond the confines of therapy sessions. Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to promote seamless care throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain meticulous documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to professional growth by pursuing continuing education and engaging with fellow professionals in the field. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are yet to receive ASHA certification. Certifications
A valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Skills
