Operating Room RN The Operating Room RN provides clinical care and uses coordination skills for every patient served. This includes an understanding of the expected patients served in the unit'(s) nursing care is delivered using the Eskenazi Health Model of Care-Synergy, the ability to coordinate with the patient and family/loved ones and other healthcare disciplines to ensure care is appropriate to meet patient care needs. Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health's mission: Advocate, Care, Teach, and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County; models Eskenazi Health values. In addition to new employee and clinical core orientation, we ensure team members are provided a departmental orientation that is flexible based on YOUR needs. Eskenazi Health is a Level 1 trauma center which means that we have a high acuity and multiple service lines. Therefore, you can anticipate learning about several different specialties within the perioperative world including: orthopedics, plastics, thoracics, neurosurgery, ortho/spine, gender affirmation surgeries, laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, trauma, and more! Qualifications:
Current Indiana license as a Registered Nurse RN degree from a nationally accredited college or university Current BLS certification; other certifications may be required in specific units to practice Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience as an RN in the Operating Room preferred Response time for call shifts is 30 minutes
Scheduling: We currently have openings for full time, varied shift opportunities. These openings are typically 12-hour shifts, but on occasion can be offered in 8 or 10-hour shifts. This comes with night and weekend call requirements. What We Offer:
