Job Description
Window and Door Field Service Technician II - Orlando, FL
The Field Service Technician II represents MITER Brands in a professional manner while independently diagnosing product repair issues and implementing effective solutions for customers. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and the ability to perform service work with minimal supervision while occasionally supporting and guiding less experienced technicians.
Compensation range: Depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday, starting at 6:00 a.m.

Responsibilities
Professionally represent the company while delivering exceptional customer service at all timesCommunicate directly with customers at job sites and residential locations to diagnose and resolve product issuesIndependently troubleshoot and repair window and door productsLead or support service jobs and collaborate with other technicians as neededAssist in training or mentoring less experienced technicians when applicableSafely operate and maintain hand and power toolsEnsure all service work meets quality and safety standardsDocument service calls, including diagnostics, actions taken, and outcomes using mobile devices (iPad, laptop, or similar)Submit accurate and timely service reports using company softwareIdentify potential product or installation issues and escalate as appropriateEnsure customer residence/job site is returned to original condition after service completionPick up, deliver, and manage parts between warehouse, plant, and job sitesMaintain appropriate inventory levels in service vehicle and warehouseInspect incoming parts for quality compliance and coordinate replacement of non-conforming materialsAssist with warehouse organization and unloading delivery trucks as neededMaintain service vehicle in safe, clean, and proper working condition
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required2+ years of field service, installation, or related technical experience (windows/doors preferred)Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve product issues independentlyExperience working in customer-facing environments
Skills & Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with limited supervisionEffective communication and customer service skillsAbility to read and interpret technical instructions and documentationProficiency with mobile devices, service software, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Windows)Ability to accurately measure and perform basic math (including reading a tape measure)Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Additional Requirements
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (per company policy)Ability to obtain Aerial Lift Certification within 6 monthsAbility to safely lift, carry, and transport materials as requiredComfortable working in residential, commercial, and construction environmentsStrong understanding of safety practices and policies
Communication Skills
Proficiency in English required (written and verbal)Ability to communicate effectively with customers, builders, distributors, and internal teamsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred and may be required in some locations
Work Environment & Expectations
Works independently and collaboratively with field service teamsRegular use of mobile devices for scheduling, documentation, and reportingDemonstrates sound judgment and escalates complex or high-risk situations appropriatelyMaintains a high level of professionalism in all customer interactions
