We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Civil & Business Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex litigation matters in a fast-paced law firm environment. This is a high-impact role ideal for a proactive professional who can independently manage cases, handle discovery, and support attorneys through all phases of litigation with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
Independently manage civil and business litigation case files from intake through resolution.Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.Handle all aspects of discovery, including document collection, productions, and organization.Track and manage court deadlines, filings, hearings, and litigation timelines.Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial, including exhibits, binders, and evidence organization.Coordinate depositions, summarize transcripts, and assist attorneys with litigation strategy and preparation.E-file documents in California state and federal courts accurately and efficiently.Communicate professionally with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Conduct legal research and provide concise case summaries and support.Maintain organized and audit-ready case files while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.Support attorneys in managing complex commercial disputes and civil litigation matters.
Qualifications
3+ years of paralegal experience in civil or business litigation within a law firm environment.Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures, rules, and deadlines.Hands-on experience with pleadings, discovery, trial preparation, and case management.Ability to independently manage multiple active litigation matters simultaneously.Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.Proficiency with legal case management systems such as Clio or similar platforms.Strong ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
