BLS certification required (through AHA or RQI only). Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent education. Post-secondary education in health or human services preferred. 1-2 years of customer service or health-related experience required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services to address the personal needs and comfort of patients. Conduct vital signs and assist with activities of daily living as outlined in the care plan. Assist with patient nutrition needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance. Maintain patient comfort and safety, including turning and positioning patients. Document care rendered per guidelines and report changes in patient status to the nurse promptly. Support rehabilitation needs per the care plan, including mobility assistance and the use of assistive devices.
