Conducts hourly safety checks and reports concerning behaviors or changes in condition to nursing staff Assists clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, mobility, and hygiene needs Obtains and records client vital signs and other required client care information Assists nursing staff with admissions, discharges, provider visits, and client support needs Maintains a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment, including routine laundry, disinfecting beds, restocking supplies, and general housekeeping tasks Assists with maintaining client comfort, hydration, nutrition, and mobility Supports clients with assistive devices, including walkers, wheelchairs, dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and other personal care equipment Assists with gathering, recording, and reporting client care data in accordance with facility procedures Completes required documentation accurately and timely manner Answers phones and assists with general program support as needed Works collaboratively with nursing staff and treatment team members to support quality client care and services Attends staff meetings and participates as an active member of the treatment team Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Experience, Education, and Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent required Graduation from an Oregon State Board of Nursing-approved Nursing Assistant training program is required Current, unencumbered Oregon CNA 1 certification required prior to hire Minimum of two (2) years of CNA experience preferred, or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and experience related to the position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of current CNA practices and standards of care Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client needs and behavioral or medical concerns Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, and the public

Compensation
Wage will depend on experience and credentials. An additional stipend is available for Spanish/English bilingual employees
