Redding Elementary School: Cafeteria Supervisor

Hours: 3.5 hours per day - 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday-Friday when school is in session for students. 180 days in the school year. Start date: Immediate

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Experience working with young children
• Ability to work well with students and staff
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility
• Sense of humor

Salary/Benefits: In accordance with the non-certified staff bargaining unit agreement. No benefits.

Responsibilities:

• With the assistance of another staff member, supervise approximately 100 students at a time while they are having their lunches and socializing with their peers
• Helps to maintain an environment where students respect themselves, others, and their environment
• Handle situations as they may arise in a calm and reassuring manner
• Assist students in opening their lunch containers
