• Maintain packaging equipment for calibration, safety and cleanliness. • Maintain and review policies and procedures to ensure room procedures, practices and activities are compliance with regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with inspectors to complete regulatory compliance inspections. • Participate in annual compliance audit. • Participate in the orientation and training of new IV pharmacy technicians. • Maintain accurate inventory through placing orders, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels. • Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently. • Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed. • Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications. • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed Education and/or Certifications: • High School Diploma or GED required • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements), required Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of one (1) year working as an IV pharmacy technician required • Proficient in computer applications related to department operations and job function. • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction • Great attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate • Working knowledge of Medical Terminology required • Strong knowledge of brand/generic drugs preferred Work Environment: • Ability to work flexible hours What We Offer: Guardian provides employees with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, supporting our core value of, "Treat others as you would like to be treated."
