Classified Salary Schedule Working Conditions: • Office Environment • Constant Interruptions Physical Demands: • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard • Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and electronically • Seeing to read a variety of materials • Bending at the waist, kneeling, or crouching to file materials • Lifting of equipment up to 40 lbs. • Ability to use a ladder Qualifications & Knowledge: • Bachelor's Degree in Information/Computer Science from a College/University preferred. Combination of College/University/Technical College education and work experience may be substituted • Technical certifications, training, and experience to demonstrate knowledge and abilities listed below • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a technical service-related field • Knowledge and work to include cybersecurity and cyber safety best practices • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computer maintenance with a good understanding of network protocols and hardware Essential Functions 1.01 Provides first and secondary level user technology support for multiple schools and/or administrative buildings including the support of students and staff in the operation of computers, software, and peripherals to include but not limited to standard classroom and office technical equipment such as various computer models, printers, phones, and interactive flat panels 1.02 Maintains, installs, and configures computer equipment, peripherals, and software applications 1.03 Maintains routine maintenance and other necessary records or logs 1.04 Facilitates the operation, organization, supervision of the computers, peripherals, and software for designated areas 1.05 Assists users in the operation of computers, peripherals, programs, and other classroom and office technology 1.06 Maintains cooperative working relationships and good customer service with those contacted in the course of work including daily communication with site administrators and office staff 1.07 Assists in the establishment of procedures for computer equipment and software use 1.08 Ensures all computer-related devices are operational 1.09 Maintains accurate inventory of records for all equipment and software 1.10 Documents user instructions for technology devices and software 1.11 Delivers training for computing devices and software to end-users and other support staff 1.12 Provides escalated support help and team leadership to other technology support personnel 1.13 Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee/supervisor ESSENTIAL PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS 2.01 Adheres to legal statutes, organizational rules, and community standards 2.02 Maintains successful working relationships with co-workers 2.03 Functions as a team worker 2.04 Manifests emotional stability and maturity in all phases of job performance 2.05 Gets along positively with staff, supervisors, and visitors 2.06 Treats confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion and avoids gossip 2.07 Meets obligations with punctuality and maintains regular attendance 2.08 Works without constant direction 2.09 Communicates effectively both orally and in writing 2.10 Seeks to improve skills and knowledge 2.11 Uses time efficiently 2.12 Maintains effective physical setting for optimum job performance 2.13 Presents a professional image when representing Paulding County Schools through word, action, and dress Applicants will be selected for interview.
