*Host Home Provider Opportunity (DSPD Services) – Tax-Free Daily Income*
Together We Shine is seeking a compassionate, patient, and stable individual or family to open their home as a Host Home Provider for an adult male receiving services through Utah DSPD (Division of Services for People with Disabilities).
A Host Home is a unique and rewarding opportunity where an individual with disabilities lives in your home as part of your family environment. Providers offer support, structure, guidance, and daily living assistance while helping the individual build independence and maintain a meaningful quality of life.
This opportunity is paid through a daily rate and is generally considered tax-free income under applicable caregiver/host home guidelines. Compensation is based on the level of care and support needed. (Indeed)
*About the Client:*
This individual has a history of behavioral challenges, but he has made tremendous progress:
* No physical violence toward another person in over 2 years
* No property destruction in over 1 year
* His support team believes his medications and supports are currently in a very positive and stable place
He thrives in an environment with:
* Consistency and routine
* Calm, predictable structure
* Patient and supportive caregivers
* Low-noise environments
He loves animals and pets, but excessive noise — especially frequent barking — can be overwhelming for him. A calm home environment would be the best fit.
He does best when expectations are clear and routines stay consistent, as routine provides him with a sense of security and stability. He responds well to caregivers who are patient, understanding, and able to redirect calmly when needed.
*Ideal Home Environment:*
* Calm and structured household
* Patient and dependable caregivers
* Experience with behaviors, autism, developmental disabilities, mental health, or caregiving is preferred but not required
* Ability to work as part of a professional support team
* Willingness to provide supervision, encouragement, and daily support
