Night Care Attendant

Jazz Lévis is currently seeking a candidate to fill a temporary, full-time night care attendant position. ***Candidates must hold a valid AP/RPA or DEP in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a RAC certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a PAB (Personal Care Attendant) + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Personalized Support Plan).***

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Full-time night shift, 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM, with one weekend on and one weekend off.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Contribute to the development of a residentsè action plan based on their observations
• Distribute medication in pill organizers and provide some invasive care (as needed and provided you have the necessary training)
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
• Law 90 training (an asset)
• AP/RPA or DEP training in personal assistance in establishments and at home
• PDSP training
