Senior Mechanical Designer
At KMEC Engineering and Conveying, we design and manufacture a wide range of bulk material handling installations, such as conveyors for overland or floating applications, as well as ship and barge loaders and unloaders. We also design and build radial stackers. Additionally, we manufacture standard conveyors such as belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, and bucket elevators. We are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop bulk material handling systems designsStrong knowledge of producing Mechanical GAs, PFD and P&IDDevelop structural (i.e., layouts, plans, elevations, sections & details) drawings within many aspects of Bulk Material Handling, including conveyors, cranes, storage facilities, etc.Develop detailed drawings of mechanical equipment and supporting structure according to engineering sketches and specifications for bulk material handling systemsProduce 2D drawings in AutoCad and 3D software (Revit, Tekla, SolidWorks, Occasionally travel to job sites to collect design information
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Preferred Bachelors degree or Associate degree from two-year college or technical schoolStrong Knowledge of CEMA /understanding of AISC, ASCE, ASME, AWS, OSHA, MSHA standards and practices preferredMinimum of 10 years bulk material handling design experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in engineering and designing bulk material handling equipment is requiredAbility to work independentlyProven ability to work in a team environment and be a self-starterWritten and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft officeMust be able to process information and follow the guidelinesDemonstrates understanding and support of company initiatives and direction
