An ability to write, speak and carry yourself professionally. Have the ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Be able to ask for help when needed, be flexible and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure. The Dishwasher reports to the Executive Chef.
Dishwashing
Wash, dry and put away dishes from events.Proper use and daily maintenance of dishwashing equipment.Basic knowledge of all chemicals and proper use.Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment,Sweep and mop the dish room and kitchen daily.Deep cleaning of kitchen space and equipment.
Dish Staff Daily Duties
Wash and put away all dishes and equipment in their proper placesContinuously check and clear kitchen dirty dish cartsKeep surfaces clear, as much as possibleKeep floor dry and clearKeep dish room clean and organizedBe ready to assist kitchen staff upon requestKeep pans, lids, and cambros neat and organizedChange garbage, recycling, and compost bins when full, also check these containers at the end of your shift. Only empty bins if they are over half full.Organize dish room and sort/stack dishesWash and de-grease triple sinksUtilize "Deep Clean List" when there are no dishes or above tasks to be completed.
COMMUNICATION
Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through SlackAttend and actively participate in all required company meetingsRespond to internal and external communications within 12 hoursPresent a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clientsFacilitate information flows throughout workplaceMaintain availability for communication by phone, Slack, and email
