Position Overview
A leading hospital is seeking an experienced Epic ASAP Analyst to support emergency department (ED) systems and workflows within a healthcare environment. This role focuses on the configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic ASAP modules, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and effective tracking of emergency care activities.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, build, and maintain Epic ASAP modulesSupport emergency department workflows, including triage, tracking boards, and patient throughputCollaborate with ED clinicians, nursing staff, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancementsOptimize workflows to improve patient flow and operational efficiencyPerform system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Troubleshoot system issues and workflow inefficienciesAssist with system upgrades, enhancements, and go-live supportEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standardsDevelop and maintain documentation for system configurations and workflowsProvide ongoing support and training to end usersRequired Qualifications
Epic ASAP Certification (required)3+ years of experience supporting Epic ASAP or emergency department systemsStrong understanding of ED workflows, including triage and patient trackingExperience with system build, configuration, and testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesPreferred Qualifications
Experience working in hospital or large healthcare environmentsFamiliarity with emergency department performance metrics and patient throughput optimizationExperience supporting Epic upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives
