Position Overview
The Construction Manager will serve as a key steward of JETSET's brand standards across all franchise buildouts and ongoing construction and equipment initiatives. This role ensures consistency, quality, and brand protection across new and existing franchise locations. The Manager will act as a central liaison between JETSET's internal departments and third-party-led construction project teams, suppliers and vendors, ensuring timelines, expectations, and compliance standards are aligned and communicated clearly. This position requires strong project oversight skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple development timelines while enforcing brand and architectural standards.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Oversight & Brand ComplianceReview and approve construction documents and drawings to ensure alignment with JETSET design and brand standards.Monitor construction progress by attending OAC calls, reviewing construction progress photos, schedules, and milestone reports and visiting active job sites during buildoutsIssue construction closeout letters and follow up on any outstanding compliance issues post-openingEnsure all design standard are upheld during construction phaseInternal Coordination & ReportingMaintain clear communication between construction project stakeholders and internal teams, including real estate, operations, training and marketingKeep internal teams apprised of critical construction milestones (e.g., permit submissions, build start, inspections, completion, opening)Ensure internal reporting tools are consistently updated with accurate construction status and projected opening datesCoordinate internal millwork and equipment package tracking and invoicing. Documentation & Process ManagementProvide any feedback or lessons learned that can be incorporated to the Design & Construction ManualCollaborate with architects and design consultants to apply brand updates across evolving franchise needs and new design solutionsAssist with the evaluation and onboarding of source-restricted vendors for signage, millwork, and architectural servicesFranchisee Support ResponsibilitiesGuidance and Feedback: Help franchisees navigate construction compliance processes by providing feedback, resources, and support to ensure successCollaborate with the Studio Support team to audit facility compliance and ensure brand standards are met across the entire studio networkIssue Resolution: Assist franchisees in resolving construction-related issues, especially when brand standards are at riskPeriodic Updates: Provide updates to architecture and design consultants based on feedback from audits or site visitsRedirecting Support: Be available to redirect franchisees to appropriate resources or departments when additional support is neededVendor Management ResponsibilitiesVendor Compliance: Maintain roster of source-restricted vendors for signage, millwork, and architectural services while ensuring they meet brand standardsContract Oversight: Ensure all third-party vendors deliver on their contracts and adhere to JETSET's processes.Coordination: Collaborate with architects and design consultants to apply brand updates across evolving franchise needs
What You Need to Be Successful
Detail-Driven Mindset: A passion for quality, design, and brand integrity with an eye for ensuring every buildout matches the JETSET aestheticProactive Communicator: Ability to keep multiple stakeholders aligned and informed, often across time zones and at different project stagesStructured & Organized: Capable of tracking dozens of concurrent construction projects, document reviews, and compliance follow-ups with accuracyCollaborative: A team player who works well across internal departments (real estate, ops, marketing) and with external project teamsDecisive & Resourceful: Able to assess construction plans quickly, identify potential risks to brand standards, and execute effective solutionsStartup Experience (Desired): While not required, experience in a startup environment would be beneficial due to the dynamic nature of scaling operations and managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Design, or a related field5+ years of experience managing construction review processes in a franchise or multi-unit retail/hospitality settingWorking knowledge of construction processes, permitting workflows, and buildout timelines and CADExperience reviewing architectural plans, signage proposals, and vendor submittalsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAvailable to travel to active and prospective construction sitesExperience in a franchise system or brand with strict design standards preferred
Travel & In-Office Requirements
This is a hybrid role with regular on-site presence at the HQ office in Miami, FL of up to 4 days per week.The role also requires up to 15% travel to franchise locations.
$90,000 - $120,000 a year
*Top end of salary range listed includes annual bonus potential
