About the Role As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote patient health and recovery. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment plans are executed effectively. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient interaction, ensuring emotional support alongside clinical care. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall healthcare experience. Minimum Qualifications
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong knowledge of nursing principles, patient care standards, and medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to perform clinical nursing procedures safely and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Experience working in specialized units such as ICU, ER, or Pediatrics. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong communication and leadership skills with experience in patient education or mentoring.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify health status and care needs. Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient conditions and physician directives. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patient responses. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and institutional standards. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide critical care as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with nursing best practices. Provides direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care rendered.
Skills The required skills enable you to perform comprehensive patient assessments, administer treatments, and document care accurately, ensuring patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. Your clinical knowledge and technical proficiency allow you to respond effectively to emergencies and complex medical situations.
