Administer thorough evaluations for patients ranging from children to seniors through both standardized assessments and observational methods. Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaboratively work with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and their families to bolster their progress beyond therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy to ensure seamless care throughout the healing process. Keep meticulous documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in continuous education and peer discussions to remain current with advancements in the speech-language pathology field. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained. Certifications
Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) training required within 30 days of employment. Skills
Expertise in evidence-based practices for a diverse population, with in-depth knowledge of developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing. Outstanding interpersonal skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to modify therapy techniques to suit diverse individual needs. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
