Conduct patient evaluations in inpatient or outpatient environments, creating personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual Administer physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional capacity Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, doctors, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals, to promote the best possible patient outcomes Educate patients and their families about therapeutic goals, planning for discharge, and continued exercises to do at home Record all evaluations, treatments, and patient progress according to regulatory standards and facility protocols Engage in interdisciplinary care rounds and conferences to ensure seamless coordination of rehabilitation efforts Education
Hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable accredited degree Certifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Preferred CPR certification Specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric therapy) are advantageous but not necessary Skills
Preference for prior experience in the field Capability to address the needs of patients with complex medical conditions and mobility challenges Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities Ability to navigate digital charting and clinical documentation systems effectively Benefits
