Six (6) months recent hospital or long term care facility experience as CNA High school education Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program Nurse Assistant Certification (CT NA) CPR certification (CT CPRBLS) Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements. Special Skills:
Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing clearly concisely and accurately. Ability to utilize and learn new computer programs for documentation Establish and maintain effective working relationships Operate IVAC thermometer vital sign check machine blood pressure cuff. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures Ability to educate family members regarding appropriate activities listed below as indicated by ability of resident and willingness of family Ability to perform care functions that may include but not necessarily be limited to: Ambulation Eating assistance ADLs ROM (AROM & PROM) Bowel and Bladder Training Splint/Brace/Prosthesis placement/care
