Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods. Create individualized therapy plans that address both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that concentrate on various aspects of communication, including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to care. Provide essential education to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond the therapy sessions. Participate in occasional inpatient services for speech therapy evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing seamless care throughout the recovery journey. Keep meticulous and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing learning through continuing education opportunities and collaborative peer relationships. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained ASHA certification. Certifications
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Skills
