Performing thorough patient assessments, arranging necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting customized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentials) Providing education for patients and their families on wellness practices, preventative measures, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapies aligned with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-ups and overseeing chronic care management Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and seamless patient care Accurately documenting patient information within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications Needed
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Tennessee National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a specialty equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to obtain within 90 days) What Makes You Stand Out
