Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and creating individualized care plans Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses either independently or with collaborative support (depending on credentialing) Educating patients and their families regarding prevention strategies, wellness, and effective disease management Prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions within your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care coordination Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, seamless care Meticulously documenting within electronic medical records (EMR) to ensure accuracy Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensures and Certifications Needed
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Ohio National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent in a specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or secured within a 90-day timeframe) Key Attributes for Success in This Role
