Overview CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and OEMs. The Payments Sales Engineer provides payments expertise and support to the sales team and prospective merchants. Key Responsibilities Sales Support: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the payments industry, including trends, regulations, and technologies; act as subjectmatter expert on payment products and services, providing guidance and support to sales teams; collaborate with product development teams; identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities; provide training and support; engage with clients and partners; stay abreast of competitive offerings. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders; act as trusted advisor; work with stakeholders and vendors to ensure implementation; participate in industry events. Qualifications 3‑5 years of sales experience in the payments industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience. Deep understanding of embedded payment processing technologies, card‑present and card‑not‑present; knowledge of gateways, APIs, integration. Strong communication and presentation skills; analytical and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to build relationships with clients, partners, internal stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the payments industry. Ability to travel as needed. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Payments Professional) preferred. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $100K Base + 12% Commission; total compensation may include annual performance bonus and incentive plans.
