Job Summary: This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed Radiology Technologist to work within Immediate Care Centers serving the Midwest region. The role involves supporting physicians and advanced providers in delivering patient care for episodic illnesses, injuries, and routine evaluations. The schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotations. Essential Responsibilities: Registration/Discharge
Expertly utilize current computer systems (Meditech, EMR, PACS) to facilitate patient care documentation and planning. Verify insurance and identification documents. Ensure accuracy of diagnosis codes and procedural terminology for billing. Review billing post-visit and discuss care plans with patients before discharge. Manage telephone communications in collaboration with providers and nursing staff. Clinical Duties
Prepare patients for examinations based on their presenting complaints. Promptly notify nursing or providers of urgent or emergent arrivals for timely assessment. Collect and document initial patient data in compliance with clinic policies. Assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures and obtain necessary authorizations. Diagnostic Testing and Treatment
Perform delegated testing and treatments following established protocols. Produce high-quality digital images meeting provider and radiologist standards. Adhere strictly to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment proficiently. Follow age-appropriate radiology protocols for positioning and technique. Document treatments and patient responses accurately. Maintain laboratory competencies as required by regulatory agencies. Participate in proficiency evaluations annually. Demonstrate skills in splinting, phlebotomy, urine drug screening, EKG testing, and other technical clinic operations. Medication Administration
Administer medications as directed and document accordingly. Ensure pharmaceutical records comply with regulatory standards. Supplies Management
Order and manage clinic supplies efficiently to maintain operational levels. Use supplies judiciously to minimize waste. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of a Limited or Associate Degree Radiology Technologist program; Associate degree preferred. Working knowledge of medical terminology, procedural, and diagnostic coding. Proficient computer user. Basic Life Support certification preferred; may be obtained upon hire. Tuberculin Screening Tester Certification preferred; may be obtained upon hire. At least one year of experience in a medical office setting, preferably family medicine, orthopedics, or immediate care.
Licensure Must hold certification as a Radiology Technologist from the state health department. Work Schedule Varied shifts totaling 40 hours per week, including weekend and holiday rotations.
