Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region, providing compassionate and skilled nursing care during the night shift. This role involves caring for patients with diverse medical conditions in a critical access hospital setting with advanced trauma and cardiac care capabilities. Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will assess, implement, and evaluate nursing care using critical thinking and sound judgment. You will administer medications and treatments, collaborate with healthcare providers, and document patient care accurately. This position requires adherence to nursing standards and legal regulations, with a focus on patient safety and quality care. Key Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols. Provide timely and accurate information to physicians and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Document patient care, including vital signs, medications, and intake/output, and develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of admission. Deliver direct patient care according to established standards and legal requirements. Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and ongoing training to foster teamwork and professional development. Engage in special projects and support departmental goals. Education and Experience
Graduated from an accredited nursing program. Bachelor's degree preferred. At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred. Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience preferred. Licenses and Certifications
Current, unrestricted nursing license in Washington State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles. Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles. Commitment to patient privacy and safety following HIPAA standards. Effective communication and documentation skills. Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position involves 12-hour night shifts with responsibilities including lifting, carrying, standing, walking, and other physical activities as needed. The role requires adaptability, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous learning.
