Job Description Job Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides Therapeutic treatment services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, supporting patient rehabilitation and functional capacity restoration. This role involves delivering clinical interventions, collaborating with team members, and educating patients and families to maximize recovery outcomes. Responsibilities:
Implement prescribed physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with licensed physical therapists. Review patient records, case histories, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members. Document all patient encounters, treatments, diagnoses, and progress in accordance with facility policies. Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, equipment use, and self-care techniques. Assist in acquiring and fitting durable medical equipment and devices based on patient needs. Participate in community outreach, off-site clinics, and remote assessments to facilitate holistic patient care. Qualifications:
Hold an associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 3 months' clinical experience preferred, with acute and outpatient settings valued. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, musculoskeletal physiology, gait analysis, and treatment planning. Effective communication skills, proficiency with healthcare technology, and ability to work in diverse clinical environments. Benefits & Growth:
