RADIATION THERAPIST Needed in Anderson, SC. Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm.Join Our Premier Oncology Team as a Radiation Therapist Are you passionate about delivering life-changing care to cancer patients? We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our state-of-the-art department, where precision, compassion, and professionalism come together to make a real difference in patients' lives. In this crucial role, you will deliver accurate radiotherapy treatments, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care. Required Skills: Certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association and ARRT Radiation Therapy Certification Expertise in radiation physics, radiation interaction, and radiation protection principles including ALARA Proficient in operating therapeutic equipment, immobilization techniques, and beam modifying devices such as dynamic wedges Strong attention to detail for verifying physician-prescribed treatments and maintaining thorough treatment records Ability to perform aseptic techniques and ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures Skilled in monitoring patient progress and reporting complications promptly Experience in maintaining equipment and adhering to quality assurance protocols Nice to Have Skills: Experience supervising students or trainees in Radiation Oncology Knowledge of inventory control and supply management within a clinical setting Additional patient care or oncology-related certifications Preferred Education and Experience: Prior experience in delivering radiotherapy treatments in a clinical or hospital setting is highly desirable A solid understanding of departmental QA programs and patient follow-up procedures Other Requirements: Ability to perform morning machine checks and ensure equipment functionality Willingness to participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives and inventory management
