A minimum of one year of instrumentation experience OR successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service with Central Service Technician certification.
High school diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of a vocational program for Central Service is preferred.
One year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to receive and give constructive feedback.
Good verbal and written communication skills, being concise by phone and in person.
Central Service Technician certification is required within one year of hire.
*Additional experience and/or qualifications may be evaluated for Sterile Processing Technician II consideration based on demonstrated advanced skill competency and complex job knowledge.
