Monitor all residents and guests entering and leaving the building. Document all activities in the communication logbook. Regularly patrol resident floors and administrative offices. Intervene in crises and provide appropriate support when necessary. Gather and maintain work order requests and submit them to maintenance. Assist with compliance monitoring activities and adherence to program regulations. Document any problems or concerns in the log and inform the Senior Director or Program Director. Conduct an orientation to the building for residents (i.e., emergency exits, trash removal, laundry, etc.). Monitor security cameras. Conduct fire drills in accordance with FDNY protocols. Make wellness checks and document findings in the Shift Report. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred or related experience. Experience working in a housing setting and/or providing security services. Certified in CPR and First Aid is a plus. FDNY Fire Guard (F-02) and/or Fire Safety and Alarm Coordinator (F80) certification is a plus. Will be required to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification after employment. Comfortable with computer-based data entry and using Microsoft Office. Good written and verbal communication skills are important. Excellent judgment and conflict resolution skills.

Occasionally travel to Long Island City office or other Fortune Society sites for meetings or training.
