Position Summary: The implant coordinator is considered a subject matter expert and consultative sales professional of Dental Implants. The Implant Coordinator is responsible for shaping the experience of our prospects and patients. Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate pre-op appointments with patients' dentist. • Schedule any surgical planning required between OS and dentist. • Take models, CTs, etc. as requested by surgeon. • Consult with patients scheduled for Implant Consults. • See implant recheck patients. • Handle incoming implant post op concerns. • Assist doctors in implant placement cases as needed. • Handle implant release appointments. • Train office staff on implant surgical procedures. • Monthly staff training with office staff. • Call all implant patients post operatively and document. • Answer incoming calls from restorative dentists • Attend Implant seminars • Coordinate restorative cases with implant rep • Assist with restorative cases at dentist's office as requested. • Maintain all implant equipment/ surgical kits • Prepare upcoming cases per the doctors' specifications • Pull implants for upcoming cases. • Complete a weekly implant inventory/ order • Scan out implants used daily. • Coordinating "Free" Impression Copings to restorative. • Assist dentist with coordinating proper restorative parts needed for upcoming cases. • Maintain Implant restorative parts inventory. • Maintaining supply patient education materials/ implant folders. • Maintaining implant models. • Schedule and conduct implant lunch and learns with restorative offices. • Process all implant treatment checklists. • Enter all patients into stage tracking • Process and maintain log of all returned (failed) implants • Process all implant release letters • Process all implant placement letters • Maintain stage tracking log • Enter all implants placed into WINOMS • Follow up with insurance department on outstanding implant preauthorization's. • Maintain a log of all replacement implants/ implants donated by Implant Company. • Maintain Implant inventory- reconcile per SOP • Following up with implant patients who have missed appointments • Tracking bone graft patients, following up on missed appointments. • Keep count current for implants placed month to date and year to date. • Send out mailings/invites as requested. • Assist in planning implant educational events Requirements Required Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational skills • Must be detail-oriented • Must maintain professionalism at all time • Must maintain training/ continuing education requirements • Ability to function in fast paced and/ or stressful work environment • Must adhere to company policies and procedures and safety guidelines • Ability to operate a motor vehicle • Reliable transportation available to utilize for work if needed Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma • 2+ years dental experience as a treatment coordinator, financial coordinator, surgical assistant or as a dental sales representative. • Licenses/Certificates: DAANCE, N20 and CPR preferred. • Current valid driver's license Physical Requirements • Prolonged standing and walking • Frequent bending and twisting • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. • Can physically assist patients including lifting, pulling, holding • Ability to retain firm grip on instruments for extended periods of time up to 1 hour • Dexterity to grab, hold, adjust, tap, feel, and pick up instruments frequently • Ability to operate motor vehicle Benefits
