Hospice Travel Nurse Job Details
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,190 - $2,550
Assignment Type: Travel / Travel Nurse
Setting: Home Health / Hospice (home hospice nurse)
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 40 (5 shifts)
Shift: 8-hour days (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
On Call/Weekend Requirement: Negotiable
Coverage Area: Pulaski, Saline, Jefferson, and surrounding counties (Little Rock area)
Mileage: Reimbursed between visits (from first patient to last patient)
Qualifications / Job Requirements Active RN license in Arkansas or Compact RN license accepted
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
At least 1 year of nursing experience; hospice or home health experience preferred
Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) electronic documentation
Strong communication skills, excellent bedside manner, and comfort delivering palliative care
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for daily travel to patient homes
Key Responsibilities (Hospice RN / Home Health Nurse) Provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice and palliative nursing care in home settings
Perform hospice admissions, comprehensive needs assessments, and ongoing care planning
Collaborate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to coordinate care with social workers, chaplains, aides, and physicians
Manage assigned caseload: case management, symptom management, and patient/family education
Document clinical visits and maintain accurate records using HCHB
Travel daily to patient residences across the assigned coverage area (home hospice travel nurse duties)
