Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment Maintain a sterile field during surgeries and pass instruments to the surgical team Perform surgical counts before, during, and after surgeries to ensure instruments are accounted for Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical area Clean and restock the operating room after surgeries Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment Accurately document surgical counts and patient information in medical records Work closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred Current BLS certification required In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
