Job Description Located in Kailua, Adventist Health Castle has been one of the area's leading healthcare providers since 1963. Job Summary: Maintains and optimizes all medication-related technology, including but not limited to, cabinets, carousel, packager, medication barcode databases, and 340B-related databases. Works with the pharmacy buyer and QA technician to complete medication-related billing duties. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Hospital pharmacy experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Pharmaceutical Technician Board certification: Preferred State or National Pharmacy Technician license: Required in HI within three months of hire Essential Functions: Installs, maintains the database, coordinates moves, and optimizes the content of all automated dispensing cabinets. Adds new and troubleshoots medication barcodes. Maintains 340B third-party vendor databases which includes the mapping of new products, correcting incorrect maps, entering manual purchase orders and reconciling split purchase orders. Trains pharmacy associates on the outpatient and/or retail prescription processing systems. Completes billing duties and fills in as a technician as needed. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
