Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, directing diagnostic testing, and crafting personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentialing Educating patients and their families about preventative measures, wellness, and chronic disease management Prescribing medications and treatment plans within your scope of practice Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic care coordination Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated, patient-centered care Documenting all patient interactions meticulously within electronic medical records (EMR) Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program Certifications Needed
Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days) What Sets You Apart
