Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high-quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion. Every day, you will expertly operate equipment, meticulously position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You'll collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health. To be successful in this role, you will possess current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.
The technologist is primarily responsible for performing mammography studies
The technologist maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease, and new procedures as they evolve
Position patients for appropriate procedures using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
Assist physicians with interventional imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable
Will rotate between different campuses within Brazos Valley
We are offering Relocation Assistance to new hires who meet eligibility requirements Job Requirements Required:
Completion of an accredited Radiology Program
Two (2) years of imaging experience
Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R))
Registered Technologist Mammography (ARRT(M))
BLS from the American Heart Assocaition within 14 days of hire
Medical Radiographer: TX (MRAD)
Preferred:
Associates Degree of Science in Allied Health or Radiology
