Serve as the lead field representative of Radiological Control supervision and management, providing day‑to‑day coordination and technical direction of radiological field activities.
Plan, track, perform, and/or designate the performance of routine and job‑specific radiological surveys and sampling, including contamination, radiation, and airborne monitoring, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of results.
Direct and review complex radiological surveys and field documentation, ensuring data quality, technical accuracy, and completeness as part of supervisory review.
Provide and coordinate radiological coverage and job monitoring in support of RCTs and Radiological Workers, ensuring work is conducted safely and in compliance with RWPs, technical work documents, and project schedules.
Lead the implementation and maintenance of assigned radiological control program elements, including personnel qualification and training support, radiological work planning, instrumentation control, radiological surveys, and ALARA planning.
Basic Qualifications:
Shall have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six (6) years of operational health physics experience in the radiation safety field. Prior experience supporting DOE decontamination, decommissioning, and remediation (DD&R) activities is strongly preferred.
Current HAZWOPER 40‑hour certification with up‑to‑date annual refresher training required.
Ability to obtain and maintain medical qualification to wear respiratory protection without restriction in support of project requirements.
Ability to perform work in modified Level D and Level C personal protective equipment (PPE), including the use of respiratory protection.
Ability to work in both office and active construction or field environments, including walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, and lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Willingness and ability to work overtime as required to meet project and operational needs.
Proficiency in performing administrative and reporting functions using standard office software applications, including Microsoft® Word and Microsoft® Excel.
Position requires the ability to access client and/or federal facilities. Candidates must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or identification card, or another federally accepted form of identification, as required for site access.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $45.67 - $69.00 Per Hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
