Acute Physical Therapist - Full Time Make a Difference as an Acute Physical Therapist in West Bend, IA (Hospital Setting) Are you a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in acute care? Join our hospital-based rehabilitation team in West Bend, Iowa, where you'll play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, strength, and independence during critical phases of recovery. Your expertise will directly support improved patient outcomes and quality of life. What You'll Do Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments
Evaluate patients' physical status and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their acute medical needs and recovery goals. Deliver Targeted Therapeutic Interventions
Use evidence-based acute care physical therapy techniques-such as mobility training, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy-to enhance patient strength and function. Monitor and Adjust Treatment Plans
Track patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to support recovery milestones and safe discharge planning. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams
Partner with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehab professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient. Educate Patients and Families
Provide instruction on mobility techniques, home exercises, and safe practices to support continued healing after discharge. Promote Early Mobilization and Wellness
Encourage activity and functional movement as soon as medically appropriate to prevent complications and promote faster recovery. Qualifications Education:
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
Licensure & Certification:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Iowa Specialty certifications (e.g., geriatrics, orthopedics, neuro) are a plus Skills & Experience:
Acute care or hospital experience preferred Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment What We Offer
