Job Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing standardized assessments and observation methods. Create customized treatment plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques. Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical teams to formulate comprehensive care plans. Educate patients and family members to enhance progress beyond clinical visits. Perform occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care continuity. Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately in alignment with compliance standards. Continuously develop your expertise through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education Requirements
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Licenses and Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be acquired within 30 days of employment. Essential Skills
