Employment Type: Full-Time (4-Day Workweek) Position Overview An established pediatric dental practice in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join a busy and well-organized clinical team. This role is ideal for an EFDA who is confident in their clinical skills, enjoys working with children, and values being part of a team that prioritizes efficiency, structure, and a positive patient experience. You'll play an important role in supporting providers and helping maintain a smooth and productive clinical schedule. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support
Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with state regulations Assist dentists during pediatric procedures and restorative treatments Prepare and break down operatories efficiently between patients Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols Patient Care
Help create a positive and comfortable experience for children and families Communicate clearly with patients and parents throughout visits Support patient education and reinforce preventive care Clinical Workflow
Support an efficient clinical schedule and patient flow Ensure operatories are fully prepared for procedures Work closely with providers and team members to maintain a smooth daily rhythm Qualifications
EFDA certification (required) Previous experience in a dental practice (pediatric experience preferred) Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with both children and parents What We Offer
