Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsible for the operation of diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and the performance of all Nuclear Medicine procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times. Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Use diagnostic imaging techniques to detect and map radioactive drugs in the human body. They administer radioactive pharmaceuticals to patients, then monitor the characteristics and functions of tissues or organs in which they localize. Benefit Highlights

Education: Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred. Licensure: 1. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; or Graduate from a four year degree college with a CNMT Licenses BLS Required Skills: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Must possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initiative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment.
