Your Role in Synergy's Success This position is responsible for compounding in a production manufacturing facility. Compounders add raw materials and follow the formula requirements to complete production orders using equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. They must follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the equipment. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures. Compounders are required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed. How You Will Contribute Job Responsibilities:
Follow standard batching instructions to measure or weigh ingredients.
Lifting of heavy drums and bags while wearing proper PPE.
Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
Strictly follow detailed instructions to monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the mixes.
Work in a fast-paced environment able to multi-task and perform under pressure while remaining flexible.
Sample and test for various attributes from the mixes after completion.
Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning.
Filling out necessary paperwork and batch sheets that accompany mixes compounded.
Consistently perform assigned duties in a safe manner and in accordance with the company's safety policies.
Consistently perform and complete assigned duties without errors or other defects
Qualifications and Skills required:
Experience Compounding in other industries
Display basic math skills
Chemical experience is a plus
Ability to multitask or handle multiple simultaneous projects and priorities.
Good communication skills verbal and written. Able to communicate with all levels of the organization including technical teams.
Ability to perform shift work as necessary
Ability to lift 50lbs
Starting Salary : $19.00/hr Monday - Friday 7a-3:30p The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors.
