Performing comprehensive evaluations of patients, ordering essential diagnostic tests, and developing personalized treatment plans Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic diseases in partnership with physicians or autonomously (depending on credentials) Educating patients and family members on wellness, preventive measures, and disease management Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with your practice scope Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic illness management Working closely with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate integrated, patient-centered care Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR) Educational Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Essential Certifications
Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days) Key Attributes That Distinguish You
