Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Director of Information Technology. This role serves as a senior leadership executive in charge of I/T operations, responsible for the design, development, release, and maintenance of all enterprise technology systems, applications, and services. This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and is an onsite position in our corporate office in Kingsport, TN. Other key job duties include technology / strategic planning, vendor management, service management, change management, financial management, project management, disaster recovery, information security operations, and workforce management, etc. This person will have a diversified background of technical management experience, demonstrated ability to leverage appropriate technology solutions for business needs, and a sustained history of successfully leading people. Proven success managing I/T with a service-oriented approach is a must. Responsibilities include the following: Oversee I/T teams that perform daily operational support and maintenance of all I/T systems – including both third party and internally managed applications and systems. Responsible for execution of the annual I/T strategic plan. Assist in the development of I/T strategies that closely align with ECU’s strategic priorities. Oversee I/T change management process to help minimize operational impact and ensure proper due diligence. Ensure a robust I/T disaster recovery and business continuity solution is established and extensive testing of this solution is performed at least annually. Facilitate effective communications across I/T and with business units. Promote a culture of information security awareness and ensure proper information security processes are in place throughout I/T operations. Support the Manager of Information Security in all remediation efforts. Direct financial aspects of I/T operations, including capital and expense budgeting, technology proposals / justifications, and striving for effective cost management. Oversee I/T vendor management responsibilities for current and potential business partners. Stay current with developments in new technologies and platforms applicable to the credit union industry. Ensure identification and implementation of best practices for optimizing application and infrastructure cost, improving system performance, and ensuring service level requirements are met. Direct the development and maintenance of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, policies / guidelines / procedures, and performance metrics. Oversee I/T responsibilities related to internal and external audits and examinations. Serve as an effective risk and compliance manager in accordance with ECU, industry, and regulatory requirements. Lead special and cross-functional projects / teams as needed.

Required Skills Required Experience Job Requirements Education :
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience / Skills :
Ten or more years of I/T experience. Five or more years of progressive I/T leadership responsibilities. Senior management experience preferred. Extensive experience in managing complex technology environments requiring 24/7 support. Strong business acumen and business planning skills. Expertise in budget planning, financial management, and resource management. Broad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs. Exceptional multi-tasking and project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross-functional environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport, and persuade others. Ability to continuously improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and information management across all lines of business and technology platforms.
Qualifications: EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school diploma or GED required. One year in related field and Rehabilitation Technician II experience strongly preferred. Knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to communicate and work with patients with addictions. Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Current CPR training, First Aid training, good driving record and insurability is required. Must have valid Montana driver’s license. SKILLS: Must have strong interpersonal communication with a diverse team, including frontline and leadership team members; ability to take direction and work adjunctively with therapeutic team; provide empathy and possess knowledge of patients with addictions and implement positive reinforcement of patients. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, occasional use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risks or discomforts, requiring normal safety precautions in a residential setting, patient care areas, sub-acute medical care area and personal or company patient transport vehicle. Some outdoor exposure when supervising patients outdoors and in recreation programming.
