Provides physical therapy services and interventions within the scope of practice of the PTA and per the IL PTA Practice Act. Services include setting up and using exercise and modality equipment for patient use, performing manual techniques on various body parts, instructing and guarding patients in using assistive devices, coordinating patient transfers, and directing patients in various physical exercise or positioning Provides patient/caregiver education regarding diagnosis, therapeutic activities, and treatment plans Effectively documents daily treatments and progress notes to support each patient's individualized plan of care utilizing EMR and other electronic formats; communicates verbally and collaborates with the healthcare team to provide efficient, effective, patient-centered care Administers billing for physical therapy services provided per state and federal laws and individual insurance rules Confers with support staff to assist with services and interventions being provided Performs light cleaning and sanitizing of areas used during treatment with the assistance of support staff Collaborates with other licensed therapists, PTs, and PTAs together to provide exceptional patient care Assists with ordering equipment and supplies, training new staff and students, and other clinic issues as needed or requested by management

Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree required Outpatient clinical or rehab technician experience beneficial Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Illinois Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google Suites Familiarity with EMR and Physical Rehabilitation software
Environmental/Working Conditions:
Working environment is in an office/clinic setting. Physical/Mental Demands:
Stand for long periods of time, walk for periods of time, kneel, crawl, stoop, and climb stairs. Requires lifting, carrying, or moving heavier objects i.e., pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Possess full range of motion in shoulders and arms, including reaching above or below the shoulder. Finger dexterity, the ability to twist hands/wrists repetitively, pushing/pulling against stiff joints, using a variety of holds; demonstrating exercises, lifting/raising over shoulder height. Demonstrate exercises, perform manual therapy (i.e. soft tissue mobilization, dry needling), connecting E-stim electrodes; balance for patient guarding and demonstration. Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close). Rehabilitation staff must be able to watch/observe all patient exercise/movement in order to be able to prevent impro.er performance and maintain safety. Good vision will also assist in recognizing patients' non-verbal pain responses. Hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds). Rehabilitation staff must be able to hear patients' potential verbalization of pain in response to care/treatment within (at times) a loud clinic. Operates the following: Modalities (e-stim, NMES, whirlpool), sharps (scalpels, tweezers, scissors).
