Requirements: - CCC-SLP certification - BLS certification - Active state license (CA) - Minimum 3 years of SLP experience - Competency in performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) independently
Roles & Responsibilities: - Assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric populations. - Conduct and interpret diagnostic evaluations, including MBSS. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care. - Provide patient and family education regarding conditions and treatment options. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
Compliance / Notes: - Must be willing to float between facilities within the state. - Local pay rules apply within a 50-mile radius. - Non-billable orientation hours are reduced to 24 hours. - Applicants must provide a LA fire card, two references, and disclose any license/background issues at the time of submission. - Commitment to work three of the five specified holidays is required.
