Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program. Valid state dental license to practice orthodontics. Preferred Qualifications:
Board certification by the American Board of Orthodontics. Experience working with pediatric patients in a dental setting. Familiarity with digital orthodontic technologies and software. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients' dental and facial structures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for orthodontic care. Utilize advanced orthodontic techniques and technologies, including braces and aligners. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Educate patients and their families on orthodontic procedures, care, and maintenance.
Skills: The required skills for this position include strong diagnostic abilities, which are essential for accurately assessing patients' orthodontic needs. Excellent communication skills will be utilized daily to explain treatment options and procedures to both patients and their families, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable.
