Follow manufacturers recommendations and instructions for use with regards to cleaning and sterilization (1 & 4). Follow all guidelines for quality assurance monitoring. Adhere to evidence-based best practices. Monitor and maintain the proper environment in the department including temperature, humidity and traffic control. Adhere to proper attire including PPE. Acquire and update professional education Works closely with surgery for changes in instrument sets and procedures and keeps instrument lists current. Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment. Takes responsibility for FTE hours, documentation, and maintaining unit budget. QualificationsJob Specifications:
Education: High school education Certification: Certification in sterile processing or Scrub Technician preferred Experience: Prefer previous hospital or healthcare experience but not required.
