Education: Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Experience: Up to one year of work-related experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a hospital and/or skilled nursing facility setting preferred.
Licensure, Registrations & Certifications: Requires a current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Requires a current certification in Basic Life Support. Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provides physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapists' treatment plan in the acute care and/or skilled nursing facility setting. May provide treatments in additional settings including but not limited to home health at the discretion of the department Director. Communicates with manager and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems or plans.
Records daily treatment notes and other required documentation timely and completely. • Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner. Supervises Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested. Meeting production requirements for physical therapy rendered as defined by the organization. Complies with the Georgia State Physical Therapy Practice Act. Assumes responsibility for safety, infection control and performance improvement as part of CRHS's efforts to provide quality care and services. Performs all associated duties, responsibilities, and tasks. Presents a professional image to CRHS's co-workers, clinical and medical staff members, patients, families, and visitors. Attends professional development programs and in-service training and meets the minimum requirement for continuing professional education.
